These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the SkillUp Education website ("Website"), owned and operated by SkillUp Group Limited, a company registered in England and Wales at 128 City Road, London, UK, EC1V 2NX ("we," "us," or "SkillUp"). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

Terms and Conditions for Participation in SkillUp Education STEM & Space Programs

Eligibility Criteria

Participants must meet the eligibility requirements outlined for each specific program. Those who do not meet the criteria may be refused entry, and no refunds will be issued in such cases.

Media and Photography

By participating in any SkillUp program, participants provide explicit and voluntary consent to media coverage and photography during the event, including the processing of any personal information captured therein in accordance with applicable data protection laws. These materials may be used for promotional purposes by SkillUp Education and its partners. Any media use must credit both SkillUp Education and the program sponsors as official organizers.

Conduct and Behavior

Participants are expected to maintain professional and respectful behavior throughout the program. Inappropriate conduct may result in immediate removal from the program without refund. SkillUp Education reserves the right to remove any participant who fails to comply with program rules and regulations.

Program Changes and Cancellations

SkillUp Education reserves the right to modify program schedules, structures, or locations if necessary. Any significant changes will be communicated in advance. In the event of program modifications or cancellations, the application fee remains non-refundable.

Liability and Safety

Participants are responsible for their own safety and belongings during the program. SkillUp Education is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage. Participants are expected to exercise caution and follow safety guidelines throughout the event.

Refund Policy

Early Cancellation (More than 60 days before session start): Cancellations received in writing more than 60 days before the session start date will receive a full refund, minus the non-refundable deposit.
Late Cancellation (Less than 60 days before session start): No refunds will be issued for cancellations less than 60 days before the session start date. A 25% credit toward a future session may be offered if the vacated spot is filled.
No-Shows or Mid-Session Withdrawals: No refunds or credits will be issued for no-shows, partial attendance, or withdrawals after the session begins.
Camp Cancellation: If the camp cancels a session due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, public health mandates), a full refund or transferable credit (valid for 2 years) will be offered.
Visa Denial or Travel Issues: Refunds will not be issued in cases of visa refusal, delayed approval, or travel disruption outside SkillUp Education’s control.

Program Organizers

All STEM and Space programs are solely owned and operated by SkillUp Education.

Additional Program Details

Certificates will be awarded to participants who successfully complete the program.
Participants with dietary restrictions must inform organizers during the application process. Reasonable accommodations will be considered.
Programs may feature guest speakers and experts in STEM, space science, and related fields.

Program Costs

All additional costs not explicitly mentioned are the responsibility of the participant.
By submitting an application to any SkillUp Education program, applicants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these terms and conditions.

Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the United Kingdom's Data Protection Act 2018 (which incorporates the EU General Data Protection Regulation), the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China (PIPL), and the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of Hong Kong (PDPO). This section outlines how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data.

Collection and Purpose: We collect personal information (such as name, email address, contact details, and program participation data) only when necessary for providing our services, processing applications, communicating with you, or fulfilling program requirements. Under PIPL and PDPO, we adhere to principles of lawfulness, fairness, necessity, and minimal data collection. We will inform you of the purpose, scope, methods, and retention period for processing your data at the time of collection.

Consent: Your consent to data processing must be voluntary, explicit, and informed. For sensitive personal information (e.g., health data related to dietary restrictions or photographs), we will obtain separate, specific consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, though this may affect your ability to participate in programs. For users in China or Hong Kong, consents will be itemized and clearly stated to meet PIPL and PDPO requirements.

Data Rights: You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data. Under PIPL, you also have rights to data portability and to object to automated decision-making. Under PDPO, you have rights to data access and correction requests. Security and Retention: We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure, in line with PIPL and PDPO security principles. Cross-Border Transfers: If your data is transferred outside of China (for PIPL compliance) or Hong Kong (for PDPO compliance), we will ensure adequate safeguards, such as obtaining your explicit consent, conducting data protection impact assessments, or using standard contractual clauses where required. For PIPL, we will comply with rules on overseas recipients and notify you of transfer details.

Data Sharing: We may share data with partners or sponsors for program purposes, but only with your consent and under strict confidentiality agreements.

You agree not to use our services to send unsolicited emails, SMS, or other messages. Violation of this policy may result in immediate termination of your access or participation without refund.
